About Us
Starlette, a high-energy rock band with a unique style, combines electrifying guitar and bass riffs, powerful vocals, and grooving drum beats to get you on your feet. The band was recently voted crowd favorite at the 2025 Spring Break Battle of the Bands.
Originating from the University of Tampa, Starlette, named after a laser reflector satellite, was formed in 2024 under the direction of bassist Colin White and drummer Nicolas Piskothy. Later joined by guitarist Daniel Teater and lead singer Veronica White, this power rock group is quickly establishing themselves as a force in the local music scene.
Their influences pull from various pop rock bands throughout the years. Muse, Royal Blood, Paramore, and No Doubt are favorites. As a testament to their versatility and musical talents, the band was selected to cover songs from Trans Siberian Orchestra with UTampa’s music faculty in front of the famous Ars Sonora bell tower. The band has also been in the studio working on an EP and you can hear the band’s epic originals at live shows throughout the area.
